Ingredients
- cold, heavy whipping cream
- (>30% fat content, higher is better)
- sugar
- vanilla extract
Method
- The key is keeping the cream cold
- Place a large mixing bowl and whisk in the fridge
- When ready, take the whisk and bowl out
- Add cream, sugar, vanilla, any other flavorings
- Whip until it has the texture you want, here are the stages
- liquid
- shaving cream (very soft peaks)
- soft peaks
- stiff peaks
- overwhipped (grainy)
- butter
Notes
There are no amounts because everything is to taste and situation.
I would only use a stand mixer if making a large amount (>2 cups).
