Ingredients
Dry
- 1⁄2 small head of red cabbage
- 1 shallot
- 1–2 peppers
Wet
- 3⁄4 cup buttermilk
- 1⁄4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
Method
- Cut the cabbage in half
- Core it and slice it thinly
- Mince the shallots and peppers
- Transfer everything into a big mixing bowl with a couple pinches of salt and grinds of pepper
- In another mixing bowl, whisk together all the wet ingredients
- Pour the buttermilk mixture over the cabbage and mix
- Let it sit in the fridge for at least an hour, a day is better
