Ingredients
- 1 oz grated cheddar cheese
- red pepper flakes
- 1 large egg
- 1 piece toast (english muffin)
- optional: sliced green onion for garnish
Method
Prep
- Toast english muffin (or whatever bread you have)
- Grate cheese
Make the thing
- Brush cold medium nonstick pan with a small bit of olive oil
- Arrange cheese in a pad in the middle
- Fry cheese until it starts to brown
- Add pepper flakes
- Crack egg onto the frying cheese
- Try to break the albumin
- When the cheese is brown, and the egg has fried for a few minutes
- Fold the cheese up to create a pouch around the egg
- Cook until done
- Transfer onto toast
- Salt to taste
Notes
The best part about using english muffins for the toast part is you have to make 2!
